In the bustling workshops of an automobile factory, robotic arms tirelessly perform their tasks with precision, relying on key components sourced from the Zhejiang Fine Motion Robot Joint Technology Company in Taizhou, Zhejiang province.

The company has become a pivotal player in the domestic industry, particularly due to its production of high-precision reducers, essential for the operation of industrial robots.

Since 2013, Fine Motion Technology has embarked on a journey to achieve domestic substitution of the critical component for robots, which had long been dominated by foreign companies.

Over a decade of dedicated research and development, the company successfully produced high-precision reducers that not only rival top international products in quality but also offer a significant price advantage.

"Domestic substitution not only serves to reduce costs, but is also significant in terms of delivery time, quality assurance, and service response," said Xie Faxiang, deputy head of R&D in the company.

The development process was multifaceted, encompassing rigorous exploration in raw materials, heat treatment, design, and manufacturing processes to give products industry-leading precision and longevity.

Fine Motion Technology has achieved a closed-loop process for its high-precision reducer, covering everything from design to market applications, securing its position as the top provider in the domestic market for several consecutive years.

"We will continue updating products according to customer and market demands, and gradually become an international leader from a domestic substitute," Xie added.
