Huang Yuting, a shooting prodigy from Taizhou, Zhejiang province, has clinched a berth to represent China in the forthcoming Paris Olympics.
Huang's well-deserved entry into the Games was confirmed after she claimed first place in the final selection trial held on March 18. Joining her will be Han Jiayu, another exceptional athlete from Zhejiang, who will also compete in the women's 10-meter air rifle event at the international sporting event.
Despite her tender age of 18, Huang has already left an indelible mark in the world of shooting sports. In March 2023, she secured back-to-back gold medals at the 2023 International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Rifle/Pistol World Cup in India. Her triumph continued in May when she added another gold and bronze medal to her collection at the World Cup in Azerbaijan.
Further attesting to her prowess, Huang and her teammates showcased their exceptional skills at the 19th Asian Games hosted in Hangzhou in 2023, where they clinched a total of three gold medals.
