Molten iron ascends into the night sky, transforming into a myriad of stars that scatter like celestial blossoms, evoking the image of a goddess showering the earth with beauty.

Accompanied by his family and colleague Anil, Syam was mesmerized by the "datiehua" or spray molten iron performance that unfolded during a Lantern Festival parade at Xinhu Park in Sanmen county, Taizhou, on the evening of Feb 23. Hailing from India, Syam and Anil, as foreign experts, were brought in by Zhejiang Hengkang Pharmaceutical Co Ltd based in Sanmen.

The grandeur of a dragon dance performance, featuring over 1,000 participants carrying a 400-meter-long dragon, at the parade also left them spellbound.

"Tonight's Lantern Festival celebration was truly marvelous. We saw many things we've never seen before, and it was a wonderful experience," shared Syam, moved by the festivities.

During the Spring Festival, they visited Panjia town, where they marveled at the design of a glass skywalk. "We've never seen anything like it before. It was thrilling," remarked Syam. He also noted the lively atmosphere during the holiday, with people flocking together in groups, creating a vibrant and joyous ambiance.

Reflecting on past experiences, Syam said that even in a foreign land, they were able to experience the joy of "reunion".

Having previously worked in Shaoxing, Syam joined Hengkang Pharmaceutical in May 2023 and celebrated his first Spring Festival in Sanmen this year.

Expressing his fondness for the area, Syam mentioned that he is considering settling in Sanmen for the long term. According to statistics, Sanmen welcomed a total of 55 experts and professionals from various fields last year, indicating the growing appeal of the region for both domestic and international talent.
