Taizhou in East China's Zhejiang province received recognition for its exceptional seafood offerings at the recently-concluded China (Fuzhou) International Fisheries Expo, known as one of the top three professional fisheries fairs in the world.

Taizhou's nine fishery products were among the 256 that were awarded gold medals at the expo, which sprawled an impressive 50,000 square meters and attracted over 1,200 companies and more than 10,000 products.

At this year's exhibition, the Chengchuan (Songmen) Baixiang Professional Cooperative from Wenling, a county-level city of Taizhou, unveiled 19 varieties of pre-made dishes and leisure snacks, two of which were awarded gold medals.

The cooperative also earned the coveted title of "Most Popular Aquatic Product Supplier" at the expo.

Among the most popular products were the dried salted eel and anglerfish, which were roasted onsite and garnered a remarkable 8,000 yuan ($1,109.54) in sales over just three days, as reported by Chen Xinwei, chairman of the cooperative.
