Twenty-four scenic attractions in Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province will continue to be free to enter for local residents in 2022, local authorities said.

The city initiated a campaign that exempts local residents from admission fees to some scenic spots in May 2018. The policy will now be extended to Dec 31.

Local residents are able to tour the 24 State-owned scenic spots, including Shenxianju, a national 5A scenic spot in Taizhou, free of charge throughout the year except during national holidays, weekends, and major festivals.

The policy is also applicable to non-locals holding local residency permits.

Both locals and non-locals have to make a reservation online via the taizhou519 WeChat account or Zheliban, an online administrative service platform in Zhejiang.

Visitors will still have to pay for cable cars, travel guides, parking, as well as other leisure and entertainment services they use during their visit to these scenic spots.
