The establishment of Taizhou Technician College, a comprehensive technician college, was approved by the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government in 2016.

Its construction will be undertaken by the Taizhou Municipal People's Government. The Taizhou Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau will supervise the project.

Its main task is to cultivate and train highly-skilled personnel that are in short supply in the region.
