As one of its leading industries, Taizhou has been recognized as a national auto and parts export base, national transformation and upgrading base of motorcycle and spare parts foreign trade, China's electric bicycle and parts industry base, China's auto parts industry base and China's auto supplies manufacturing base. The industry is concentrated in Linhai, Luqiao district, Wenling, Yuhuan, and Huangyan district. Taizhou is actively building the country's most important transportation industry production and export base, focusing on the development of automotive vehicles, new energy vehicles, motorcycles, electric vehicles, auto parts, new energy, automotive key parts and more. By 2020, the Taizhou Transportation Industry plans to hit a total annual revenue from industrial enterprises above the state designated scale of 130 billion yuan.
