Spring tea harvest begins in Quzhou's Kaihua
As spring returns to the land, the first batch of tender buds of spring tea emerge, glistening with fresh greenery on the tea trees.
On March 4, in the tea gardens of Yucun village, Kaihua county, Quzhou, Zhejiang province, numerous tea farmers were seen with tea baskets and bags slung over their shoulders, moving swiftly among the tea trees to pick fresh spring tea.
The spring tea harvested during that time mainly consists of early-maturing varieties. It is expected that by mid to late March, approximately 6,700 hectares of tea gardens in Kaihua will enter their peak harvesting period.
