Quzhou Airport sees 1 millionth passenger for 2024

The Quzhou Airport celebrated its 1 millionth passenger for 2024 on Dec 18, who took China Express Airlines flight G54683 from Chongqing to Quzhou, Zhejiang province.
After 31 years in operation, Quzhou Airport's annual passenger throughput has surpassed 1 million. With this achievement, all operating airports in Zhejiang have now achieved the important milestone of 1 million in the annual passenger throughput.
Quzhou Airport has jumped up 53 places in terms of China's annual passenger throughput, going from 159th in 2019 to 106th in 2024.
The airport's passenger throughput increased from 404,000 in 2019 to over 1 million in 2024, a growth of 157.8 percent. The total annual passenger throughput is expected to reach 1.03 million by the end of the year, representing a year-on-year increase of 17 percent.
In August 2024, Quzhou Airport commenced an expansion and renovation project, which includes the construction of new buildings for fire services, VIP services, and air traffic control, as well as the expansion of the apron and the renovation of the terminal.
This project is part of efforts to make travel at Quzhou Airport much more relaxed and simplified.
