Zhejiang's intl cultural exchange achievements showed in Quzhou

The 2024 "Focus on Zhejiang" international cultural exchange activity concluded on Dec 12 in Quzhou, Zhejiang province.

Chen Rufu, deputy director of Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, emphasized that the "Focus on Zhejiang" international cultural exchange activity serves as a platform for the world to better understand Chinese culture and the picturesque Zhejiang.

During the event, the fifth batch of Zhejiang Province International Humanistic Exchange Bases was unveiled. There are now 56 such bases, including 14 new ones this year, which actively engage in cultural exchange activities to show Zhejiang's vibrancy and charm to the world.

Zhejiang's openness, warmth, and dynamism have attracted numerous international friends to work, travel, and pursue their dreams in the region. In the past five years, 91 international friends were awarded with the title of the "Envoy of Picturesque Zhejiang". This year, another 15 international friends from countries including the United States, Italy, Spain, and Russia joined the ranks.

The event also featured an exhibition on five-year achievements of the Zhejiang Province International Humanistic Exchange Bases, along with various intangible cultural heritage displays and experience activities.

On Dec 13, representatives from all parts participating in this event visited the Memorial Hall to the Doolittle Raid, Quzhou International Weiqi Cultural Exchange Center, and the Family Temple of Confucius in Quzhou for further discussions.
