Sporting events continue to unfold in Quzhou

Quzhou experienced an exhilarating summer with a series of thrilling basketball events, igniting the small city with a basketball fever.
At the Paris Olympics, Quzhou's Huang Yaqiong clinched the gold medal in mixed doubles badminton. In Quzhou, the 2024 "Star Street Battle: Pan-Pacific Domination Tournament" reached its peak, featuring NBA player Paul George.
Earlier, Quzhou hosted the 2024 Youth International Men's Basketball Challenge, featuring young teams from China, Germany, Serbia, and Georgia. The Chinese U18 team secured a 5-1 record in the tournaments in Yining, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, and Quzhou, Zhejiang province.
The final of the 2nd "Quzhou Lanke Cup" World Weiqi Open Tournament took place in Quzhou.
In 2026, the city will host both the 18th Games of Zhejiang Province and the 12th Para Games of Zhejiang Province.
