On Aug 12, Quzhou in Zhejiang held a press conference to announce the upcoming "2024 Pan-Pacific Streetball Showdown" and Paul George China Tour, which will take place from Aug 13 to 17 at Qujiang Sports Center.

This event will feature top streetball stars, alongside international teams from Japan, South Korea, Australia, and Europe. The highlight of the tournament will be the participation of NBA star Paul George.

A total of 13 elite teams from around the world will compete, featuring over 130 players. Among them, two have NBA experience, three are former Chinese national team members, and more than 50 play in top leagues across Europe, Australia, the Americas, Southeast Asia, and Japan.

Last year's event brought NBA legend Allen Iverson to Quzhou, marking the city's first visit by an international sports superstar. The two-day event attracted nearly 15,000 fans in person and 24.37 million online viewers.
