The Quzhou Sports Industry Park commenced construction in June 2024.

As of now, 80 percent of the pile foundation work for the first section has been completed, and the construction drawing design for the second section is underway.

The first phase of the Quzhou Sports Industry Park project is located southeast of the Quzhou Sports Center. The total building area is approximately 89,000 square meters, with a planned total investment of about 820 million yuan ($114.46 million).

The project includes the construction of a 200-meter indoor track and field hall, a comprehensive training hall (featuring training bases for basketball, volleyball, badminton, tennis, weightlifting, and 5x5 soccer), a heavy athletics training hall, and a hotel for athletes.

It will also be equipped with auxiliary training facilities such as a physical fitness training hall, a rehabilitation treatment center, and a training and research center.

Once completed, the project will accommodate over 800 young athletes for training and study, and the indoor track and field hall will be capable of hosting national-level single-event competitions.
