Quzhou's retail sales soar to 46.51 billion yuan
According to statistics from the Quzhou Bureau of Commerce, the city's wholesale, retail, accommodation, and catering industries all experienced year-on-year growth in the first half of the year.
The total retail sales of consumer goods reached 46.51 billion yuan ($6.45 billion), marking a 9 percent year-on-year increase. This growth rate is the second highest in Zhejiang province, surpassing the provincial average by 4.5 percentage points.
From January to June this year, Quzhou hosted 82 consumption-promoting events, distributing 44.7 million yuan in subsidies, including 23.7 million yuan in consumption vouchers, which boosted spending by 1.60 billion yuan.
In the first half of the year, Quzhou received 9.7149 million overnight tourists, a 21.65 percent year-on-year increase, the highest growth rate in the province. The city welcomed 17.735 million tourists, up 14.46 percent year-on-year, ranking fourth in the province. The total tourism revenue reached 16.36 billion yuan, an 18.6 percent increase, ranking third in the province.
Additionally, urban residents' per capita disposable income rose to 36,249 yuan, up 4.9 percent year-on-year, while rural residents' per capita disposable income increased to 18,498 yuan, up 5.9 percent. The urban-rural income ratio narrowed to 1.960, a decrease of 0.019 from the same period last year.
