China's Qianjiangyuan National Park, located in Kaihua county, Quzhou, was recently named one of the "world's best protected areas" by the World Heritage Conservation Union.
This prestigious recognition was given to 13 natural protected areas in China that were included in the World Heritage Conservation Union's Green List. Qianjiangyuan National Park was the only place in Zhejiang province to make the list.
Qianjiangyuan National Park consists of several ecological zones, including the Gutian mountain national nature reserve, Qianjiangyuan national forest park, Qianjiangyuan provincial scenic area, and the connecting ecological areas between these protected sites.
