Quzhou's tourism market sees recovery during Spring Festival

Quzhou in East China's Zhejiang province received a total of 1.37 million visitors during the seven-day Spring Festival holiday, a year-on-year increase of 27.08 percent, more than the same period in 2019.

From Jan 21 to 27, the city's key scenic spots received 477,200 visitors, up 88.02 percent year-on-year. The most popular scenic spots at the 4A-level or above were the Root Palace Buddhist Cultural Tourism Zone, Nianbadu Ancient Town and Shuitingmen Historical and Cultural Block.

During the holiday, the Shuitingmen Historical and Cultural Block received 146,500 visitors, up 147.3 percent over 2022 and up 17.3 percent over 2019.

Various festivities were held in future villages and ancient towns and streets, attracting more than 100,000 visitors per day.

A total of 251,300 tourists from outside the province visited the city during the holiday, accounting for 18.34 percent of the total. The top three sources of tourists were Shanghai, Jiangsu and Guangdong.

A total of 638,300 tourists stayed overnight in the city during the holiday, accounting for 46.58 percent of the total.

According to big data, during the Spring Festival, the accommodation volume of the city increased by 62.91 percent over 2022 and 21.28 percent over 2019.
