Quzhou's industrial economy posts stable growth

The Economy and Information Technology Department of Zhejiang recently released the industrial economic performance indicators of 26 counties in the mountainous area of Zhejiang province in the first half of this year, local media reported on Aug 14.
Kecheng district, Longyou county and Kaihua county in Quzhou, were the top three among the 26 counties in terms of growth rate of added value per mu (0.07 hectares) of industrial enterprises above designated size, year-on-year increases of 19.5 percent, 18.2 percent and 18.7 percent, respectively.
In addition, the added value of industrial private enterprises in Kecheng district ranked third among the 26 counties in the mountainous area of Zhejiang province, reaching 4.85 billion yuan ($714.49 million).
In the first half of this year, the total industrial output value of Kaihua county exceeded 9.13 billion yuan, a surge of 41.4 percent.
Meanwhile, the city's output value of industrial enterprises above designated size totaled 135.93 billion yuan in the first six months, a year-on-year increase of 13.8 percent and 1.5 percentage points higher than the provincial average.
During the same period, the city's industrial and manufacturing investment maintained high growth. Industrial investment saw a year-on-year growth of 36.8 percent, ranking first in the province for the past five months, while manufacturing investment grew 54.5 percent year-on-year, ranking first in the province for the past three months.
