​Quzhou's GDP up 3.1 percent in H1

Quzhou's GDP totaled 92.89 billion yuan ($13.73 billion) in this first six months, a year-on-year growth of 3.1 percent, according to Quzhou statistics bureau.

In the same period, the added value of the city's primary, secondary and tertiary industries amounted to 3.6 billion yuan, 40.96 billion yuan and 48.33 billion yuan, respectively, increases of 6.5 percent, 5.1 percent and 1.3 percent.

The output value of the city's agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery industries reached 5.81 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.9 percent and 0.4 percentage points higher than in the first quarter.

The added value of the city's industrial enterprises above designated size expanded 6.6 percent year-on-year to 28.27 billion yuan, 2.7 percentage points higher than in the first quarter.

The added values of the computer, communications and other electronic equipment manufacturing industry, chemical raw material and chemical products manufacturing industry, non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry, and papermaking and paper product industry increased by 37.9 percent, 22.1 percent, 9.9 percent and 8.2 percent, respectively.

Meanwhile, the city's fixed asset investment increased by 11.3 percent year-on-year, 1 percentage point higher than the provincial average.

The city's retail sales of consumer goods were valued at 38.872 billion yuan from January to June, a year-on-year uptick of 1.3 percent and up 7.7 percent from June.

The value of the city's imports and exports was 27.23 billion yuan in the first half of the year, a year-on-year increase of 24.6 percent and 5.5 percentage points higher than in the first quarter.

The value of the city's exports exceeded 18.52 billion yuan, a surge of 35.3 percent year-on-year and 7 percentage points higher in the first quarter, while imports increased 6.6 percent to 8.71 billion yuan, 3 percentage points higher than in the first quarter.

In addition, the per capita disposable income of the city's urban residents was 32,538 yuan, up 5.4 percent year-on-year, while that of rural residents was 16,204 yuan, an increase of 7.3 percent. The ratio of the per capita income of urban and rural residents was 2.008, a decrease of 0.036 over the same period of the previous year.
