Jiangshan sees progress in digital transformation of wood door industry
The digital transformation rate of enterprises involved in the wood door industry above designated size in Jiangshan, a county-level city in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, has reached 100 percent, according to local media reports.
As a result, the production and sale of wood doors in the city have increased.
"It used to be the case that 12 people could produce up to 150 doors a day, but now three people can produce 800 doors a day," said Wu Dongjun, chairman of Zhejiang Yimeida Door Industry Co Ltd. Sales in the first half of this year increased by 25 percent year-on-year, added Wu.
Wooden door enterprises with annual output values of 20 million yuan ($2.96 million), 90 million yuan and 300 million yuan, respectively, were selected to carry out digital transformation, setting examples for other enterprises of similar scale, according to Xu Mingfeng, mayor of Jiangshan.
This experience has been applied in the equipment manufacturing, fire emergency, plastic, chemical and other industries in the city.
The digital transformation coverage rate of industrial enterprises above designated size in Jiangshan has reached 53 percent.
