A groundbreaking ceremony was held for Eastroc Beverage's new production base in the Quzhou Intelligent Manufacturing Park in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, local media reported on March 31.

Eastroc Beverage Co Ltd, a pioneer in energy drinks, is engaged in the research and development, production and sale of beverages.

The production base cost 625 million yuan ($98.16 million) to build and is expected to generate an annual revenue of 1 billion yuan and pay 60 million yuan in taxes annually, boosting the development of the health industry in Quzhou.

The production base will be put into use in 2023, to meet growing demand in East China.
