The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade issued a factual proof of force majeure due to COVID-19 for a medical supply enterprise in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, helping it to minimize the impact of the pandemic.

According to the temporary closed management in Kecheng district, Quzhou, the enterprise was not able to deliver orders as required for a shipment of goods worth $40,000 to be exported to Malaysia.

With the help of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the enterprise received the factual proof of force majeure due to COVID-19 after submitting relevant documents.

Documents such as a certificate issued by the local government or institution, notice of sea, land and air delay or cancellation, sales contract of export goods, cargo booking agreement, freight forwarding agreement, and customs declaration should be submitted to apply for the factual proof.

At present, the factual proof of force majeure due to COVID-19 has been recognized by governments, customs, chambers of commerce and enterprises of more than 200 countries and regions around the world.
