The first images of a male white-necked long-tailed pheasant were taken on Oct 27 last year, and the first images of a female were taken on Feb 15 this year.
The images of both the male and female white-necked long-tailed pheasants are of great research value for studying the population of the species, said Fang Ruyi, a staff member of the Changshan county forestry and water conservancy bureau.
The appearance of white-necked long-tailed pheasants and ocelot also reflects the comprehensive monitoring and protection of wildlife in Changshan county. The Changshan county forestry and water conservancy bureau has launched a ban on logging in Qianjiapai reservoir and worked to restore low-function forests.
The bureau has also set up more than 100 cameras in Qianjiapai reservoir to record the behavior of wild animals.
So far, footage of more than 3,000 wild animal behaviors has been recorded.
