Quzhou intelligent manufacturing park sees strong foreign trade
The value of imports and exports of the Quzhou intelligent manufacturing park in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, reached 31.65 billion yuan ($5.01 billion) in 2021, a year-on-year increase of 63.06 percent and accounting for 64.4 percent of the city's total, local media reported on Feb 28.
Among them, exports were valued at 16.58 billion yuan, an increase of 54.07 percent year-on-year and accounting for 52.51 percent of the city's total exports and 5.5 percent of the province's total exports.
Enterprises engaged in foreign trade in the park also made significant achievements. The export values of six enterprises exceeded $100 million, and two even exceeded $200 million.
Nickel cobalt manganese hydroxide exports ranked first among all exports, reaching $592 million, up 171.14 percent year-on-year.
In 2021, imports of resource commodities increased so that lithium raw materials made up 24.31 percent of imports, and intermediate products of cobalt hydrometallurgy were the second most common import.
In addition, imports of materials and equipment related to semiconductors, wafers and integrated circuits increased significantly, and three imported products saw year-on-year increases of over 1,000 percent, indicating a rise in the high-tech industry there.
