The National Forestry and Grassland Administration recently published the second list of demonstration zones for the nation's forestry industry, including four entries from East China's Zhejiang province.
The four entries are the Changshan Camellia Industry Demonstration Zone in Changshan county, the Qingyuan Bamboo and Wood Industry Demonstration Zone in Qingyuan county, the Longquan Bamboo and Wood Industry Demonstration Zone in Longquan county, and the Lin'an Pecan Industry Demonstration Zone in Hangzhou's Lin'an district.

Zhejiang is presently home to five such demonstration zones, including the Anji Bamboo Industry Demonstration Zone in Anji county, which was included on the first national list in 2018.
The candidates for the national list have to meet a wide range of criteria: at least 80 percent of the zone's settled enterprises should be engaged in processing, trade, and services related to forestry products; there must be at least one national-level leading forestry enterprise or three provincial-level leading forestry enterprises; total annual turnover in the forestry industry should exceed 2 billion yuan ($315.8 million); the presence of sound infrastructure and service systems encompassing technology, logistics, information, law, and finance.
