The 3rd Ginger Culture Festival Carnival was held in the city of Quzhou – located in East China's Zhejiang province – in late October, according to local media reports.

The event attracted the participation of nearly 40 local households – all proud producers of ginger – and after the judging session six finalists stood out in the contest.

A whole host of other sideline events, including painting and singing competitions, were staged during the festival.
