Quzhou athlete wins in women's bocce ball at National Games
A member of staff from the Quzhou College of Technology (QCT) – Zheng Shengyan – powered herself to victory on Sept 21 in the women's three-handed bocce ball finals at China's 14th National Games in Xi'an, capital city of Northwest China's Shaanxi province.
Zheng has been involved in the game for 11 years and from 2009 to 2018, she has won gold in China six times, triumphing in Zhejiang province 15 times and taking first place in Quzhou city once.
The National Games, held every four years, is the biggest sports competition in the country.
This year's games – which kicked off on Sept 15 and run to Sept 27 – has attracted the participation of more than 12,000 athletes.
