The CPC Quzhou Municipal Committee and the Quzhou People's Municipal Government recently released the Action Plan (2021-25) for Quzhou's High-quality Development and Construction of Common Prosperity Demonstration Zone as a Four-province Thoroughfare City, according to local media reports on Aug 27.

The following are some of the major goals of the action plan for the prefecture-level city of Quzhou, located in East China's Zhejiang province:

Promote urban brand – "Home of Southern Confucianism · A Model City of Virtue" 

The city is also moving to further promote its urban brand – as the "Home of Southern Confucianism · A Model City of Virtue" – during the process of aligning its common prosperity.

Ensure green development of big-garden city in Zhejiang

Quzhou, located in western Zhejiang in the upper reaches of the Qiantang River, is considered as the core area of what is known as the "Big Garden" in the province. It has been awarded the titles of "National Ecological Demonstration Zone", "National Forest City" and "National Garden City".

Focus on digital transformation

The city – known widely as being at the crossroads of the four provinces of Zhejiang, Fujian, Jiangxi and Anhui – will build a number of four-province thoroughfare data service centers. It will improve its administrative applications catalog and intelligent component catalog systems, promote an open data sharing system, improve data governance mechanisms and enhance the value of data resources.

Roll out measures and mechanisms for high-quality development and construction of common prosperity demonstration zone, as a four-province thoroughfare city 

By 2035, the thoroughfare city is expected to realize common prosperity with all the cities in Zhejiang.

The city is set to unite all sectors of society, to achieve common prosperity for people both in Quzhou and throughout Zhejiang.
