Quzhou steps up efforts to contain virus

Quzhou city – located in East China's Zhejiang province – has upgraded its COVID-19 prevention and control work and the public cultural sites in the city have actively responded to the pandemic and intensified their measures to ensure the health and safety of locals, according to media reports on Aug 9.
Grandpa Confucius' Book Store, which opened to the public at the beginning of this year, also participated in the prevention and control work.
A person in charge of the bookstore said that the store was strictly following the regulations, including maintaining one-meter distances, checking out health codes and measuring body temperatures.
"Some readers in the library may loosen up and take their masks off, but we will remind them," she added.
Qiu Jianyong, deputy general manager of a local travel agency, said that the company required that partner firms should vaccinate their employees. They also strictly check out their clients' health codes and body temperatures.
