Quzhou: Time to act for future factories
Recently, the Economic and Information Technology of Zhejiang confirmed that 33 local enterprises will be involved in a program for "future factory" pilot construction. Of these, two are from Zhejiang's Quzhou city – Juhua Group Corporation and Quzhou Huahai New Energy Technology Co Ltd – according to local media reports on July 3.
Zhejiang rolled out its digitalization reform measures earlier this year, dedicated to providing technological services for the development of the manufacturing industry. Since then, Quzhou has expanded its efforts to construct so-called future factories by popularizing digitalized manufacturing and improving support systems for intelligent manufacturing.
Juhua Group Corporation was established in May 1958 with the name Quzhou Chemical Factory. In August 1984, it changed its name to Quzhou Chemical Corporation. The then State Economic and Trade Commission gave the green light in 1993 for it to be renamed Quzhou Chemical Corporation Juhua Group and finally in May 2017, its name was changed again to Juhua Group Corporation.
Quzhou Huahai New Energy Technology is mainly engaged in new energy technology research and development, including cathode materials – the energy source of lithium-ion batteries.
