Four wonderful and different types of intangible cultural heritages and handicrafts from Kaihua county – ranging from dance to beer – were recently recognized, according to local officials.
The county is located in Quzhou city in East China's Zhejiang province and officials said on Dec 18 that these fine examples of regional creativity were listed in the seventh batch of the Quzhou representative intangible cultural heritage items list.
Colorful houses dotted throughout the village have connections to the She ethnic group, with their vibrant hues suggesting something of a fairy tale kingdom.
Shufan village's harmonious neighborhood reflects its rich culture. As a She village, most of the residents speak the She language. The village passes on the She culture to current and new generations, through its folk songs and dances.
For its grand festivals, women in the village don ethnic costumes. With the blue sky and white clouds above and the verdant mountains around them, they proudly sing their folk songs to the audience.
