5 more self-service bookstores open in Quzhou
The city of Quzhou in East China's Zhejiang province opened five more Nankong 24-hour self-service bookstores in the city's Qujiang district, according to local media reports on Dec 9.
The 24-hours bookstores are among 10 projects being carried out by the Quzhou Municipal Government for the benefit of local residents. Many more such bookstores will open in the near future.
Longtanjiayuan self-service bookstore
Covering an area of 300 square meters, this two-story bookstore has more than 13,000 books and over 60 seats.
It includes four sections – service, reading, children's reading, and multifunction.
Hangmin Wangjiang Park self-service bookstore
Covering an area of 240 square meters, this bookstore was transformed from an office space and includes more than 8,000 books and 30 seats.
It features a minimalist style and has four sections – reading, children's reading, meeting and service.
Quzhou Park self-service bookstore
This 193-square meter bookstore has more than 9,000 books and over 40 seats. Its simple and clean design is perfectly suited for reading.
Shangfang town self-service bookstore
This bookstore is located in the Yuan Family residence, a municipal cultural heritage site. The building, established in 1914, features exquisite carvings with high historical and artistic value.
The 520-square-meter bookstore includes lighting equipment, soft seats and more than 13,000 books.
Xiachuan town self-service bookstore
Located on a bustling ancient street, this bookstore has over 3,000 books and includes sections for service, reading, and various other uses based on the ancient architecture's original design.
This bookstore is notable for its woodworking and is expected to be frequented by local students during their summer and winter vacations.
