Juhua Group Corporation, a chemicals business in Quzhou, Zhejiang province, recently held a wood engraving exhibition at their company premises.
More than 70 exhibits made by staff members from Juhua are on display. These works are themed on the ruins of machines for the calcium carbide industry and the ancient Zesui village in Longyou county.
In the 1980s and 1990s, inspired by its rapid development, a group of workers in Juhua took up wood engraving as a hobby in order to depict their company.
In order to further promote such a practice in the company, Juhua launched training classes for wood engraving in 2017, which has attracted many staff members to take part.
