Yang Jizhou (1522-1620) from Quzhou was a master of acupuncture skill and drug therapy. His crowning work Acupuncture Introduction is regarded as the most influential and popular book on acupuncture.

The acupuncture skill created by Yang Jizhou put importance on both theory and practice. A Yang Jizhou acupuncture characteristic school was formed in Quzhou 100 years ago and the skills have been passed down unfailingly.
