Giovanni Battista Belleri, an Italian entrepreneur, has become a key cultural ambassador bridging China and Italy through his work in Ningbo, Zhejiang province.

By using his engineering background and passion for cross-cultural exchange, Belleri has introduced innovative ways to promote Chinese culture while fostering economic cooperation between the two countries.

One of his standout initiatives is the "Yangming Banquet", a unique cultural experience where international guests deepen their understanding of China's intellectual heritage and philosophy through traditional food. This initiative is inspired by Wang Yangming, a renowned philosopher born in Yuyao — a county-level city in Ningbo — who developed the concept of "unity of knowledge and action". Wang’s philosophy emphasizes that true wisdom is not only intellectual but must be practiced in daily life. Belleri uses this philosophy to connect people from different cultures, showing how Chinese wisdom can be applied in modern contexts.

Additionally, he uses local agricultural products like yangmei, or waxberry, to demonstrate China's agricultural and logistical strengths, while also promoting "Yangming Cultural Design" at Milan Design Week, blending the old with the new in a creative way.

Belleri has also embraced the success of Chinese technology, particularly with Unitree Robotics, to highlight China's role in shaping the future of intelligent manufacturing. Through these initiatives, he not only promotes cultural exchange but also shows Ningbo's rich heritage and modern technological prowess, creating a bridge between the East and the West.
