Center for BRICS cooperation established in Zhejiang
The Progress Meeting for the China Center for Cooperation on Special Economic Zones in BRICS Countries convened in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, on March 21.
During the meeting, the center was officially inaugurated with the unveiling of its logo. Its establishment will advance collaboration in capacity building, policy exchange, economic and trade partnerships, and standards alignment.
The event also featured a dialogue session themed around cooperation on special economic zones among BRICS countries. Moderated by Stephen Bainous Kargbo, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization's representative to China, the session covered topics including digital infrastructure, green development, artificial intelligence, capacity building, and the enhancement of business environments.
Looking ahead, the China Cooperation Center will focus on practical efforts across multiple domains, including policy dialogue, economic and trade collaboration, capacity enhancement, standards harmonization, institutional innovation, comprehensive services, and mechanism coordination.
