Huzhou enterprises explore South African markets

Recently, the China (Huzhou) - South Africa Economic and Trade Promotion Conference concluded in Johannesburg.
Jointly organized by the Huzhou Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce in Southern Africa, the event facilitated connections between representatives from seven Huzhou companies and over 20 South African merchants, resulting in intended procurement deals exceeding 40 million yuan ($5.52 million).
The conference offered Huzhou enterprises their first opportunity to explore the South African market. Fang Zheng, general manager of Zhejiang Zhongbang Home Furnishings Co Ltd, remarked on the valuable insights gained into market trends and pricing. His company engaged with eight potential clients, provided quotes to six, and secured over $1.5 million in intended purchases.
Other companies, including Yongyi Furniture Co Ltd, also forged connections, showcasing products and initiating promising discussions.
During the event, Huzhou officials highlighted the city's emerging industries and favorable business environment, and a cooperation agreement was signed with the Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce in Southern Africa. After the event, participants visited South African furniture and renewable energy enterprises, laying groundwork for future partnerships.
This event fostered closer economic ties between Huzhou and South Africa, while enhancing collaboration in green home furnishings and renewable energy.
