Ningbo's port office announced that DeepSeek, an advanced AI large language model, has been integrated into the China (Ningbo) International Trade Single Platform since March 3.

This marks the introduction of the AI smart assistant 1.0, a first for such platforms across China. The integration promises to improve service efficiency and to advance cross-border trade facilitation.

Before the AI assistant's launch, businesses had to spend significant time searching for information or waiting for customer service to address queries about customs clearance, logistics, and tax calculations.

Now, with the help of an intelligent knowledge base, the AI assistant offers real-time access to updated policies, customs developments, logistics updates, and service progress. Operating 24/7, it improves efficiency and customer satisfaction through consistent, tailored responses and resolves 90 percent of common queries.

Xu Shiliang, general manager of Ningbo Zheshang Customs Brokerage Co Ltd praised the AI assistant's convenience, noting its ability to provide instant and standardized answers, even outside of typical service hours. The platform, serving over 20,000 import-export companies, has become a leading trade service platform in China, ranking third nationwide in business volume last year.

As Ningbo continues to strengthen its smart port capabilities, it is adding AI to more scenarios and aiming to set a national standard for intelligent trade services and high-quality development.
