The world's only Oscar statuettes that are officially authorized memorabilia are manufactured in Ningbo's Qianwan New Area.

On March 3, the 97th Academy Awards ceremony took place. Simultaneously, at Ningbo Fasibo Sports Products Co Ltd, three production lines were operating at full speed, producing golden Oscar statuette figurines.

"We produce 5,000 to 8,000 statuettes daily, with an annual capacity of 1.2 million to 1.5 million units," said Xie Xiangyu, the general manager.

Since late last year, the company has been operating at full capacity to meet orders. These statuettes are shipped overseas to Hollywood, serving as official merchandise. Fasibo is the only company globally authorized to produce Oscar statuette souvenirs.

"Although not made of real gold, the production process is 'gold-standard'," Xie explained. The statuettes, about 16 centimeters tall, shine like 18K gold and weigh over 700 grams. They undergo more than 10 processes to ensure a high-quality texture, including vacuum coating, ion cleaning, and cold work hardening.

Established in 2008, Fasibo primarily produces and sells trophies, medals, and commemorative sculptures. Their products are exported worldwide to North America, Europe, the Middle East, East Asia, and Southeast Asia.

In 2024, Fasibo achieved an annual output value exceeding 60 million yuan ($8.23 million), a 25 percent increase. This year, the company's orders are already scheduled until August, with an estimated output value of over 70 million yuan in 2025.
