Nanxun alive with street dance

The 2024 Chinese University Street Dance Championship concluded in Nanxun district, Huzhou, Zhejiang province, on Dec 8.

A total of 1,200 participants from nearly 80 universities showcased their talents over four days, competing in group and battle dances in 12 different categories, including breakdance and street jazz.

The competition also extended the performance space to Nanxun Ancient Town. Ancient bridges and green slabstone paths became stages for dancers, infusing the town with a youthful energy that captivated both spectators and tourists.

Officials from Nanxun expressed enthusiasm about the event's impact, noting its role in promoting street dance culture and showcasing the area's vibrancy to a national audience. They emphasized the desire to attract more young people to Nanxun, injecting fresh vitality into its development.
