The 2024 Qingtian International Open Stand-Up Paddle Competition concluded in Qingtian county, Lishui, Zhejiang province, on Oct 20, offering spectators an exhilarating water sports spectacle.

The two-day event featured various competitions, including a 200-meter sprint, 200-meter prone paddle race, 6-kilometer long-distance race, 1-kilometer relay, and 200-meter dragon board race. A total of 19 individual and team awards were presented.

"This is my second time competing in the Qingtian International Open Stand-Up Paddle Competition. The beautiful surroundings, calm waters, and perfect water temperatures at Taihe Lake, the venue for this event, provide an exceptional experience," said Isila Tugce, a participant from Turkiye.

Xu Haoting from Team Molokai clinched the women's open group sprint championship. She expressed her desire to return for future competitions and exchanges, eager to hone her skills with paddleboard enthusiasts from around the world.

In addition to traditional trophies and certificates, winners received a unique prize — a Qingtian stone carving seal.

Known for its exquisite craftsmanship and artistic appeal, Qingtian stone carving is a renowned traditional Chinese art form. This special prize not only recognizes competitors' achievements but also introduces them to the cultural heritage of Qingtian.
