According to Zhoushan Putuoshan International Airport, its daily passenger throughput exceeded 10,000 and its cargo and mail throughput surpassed 34 metric tons on Oct 18, both of which are record highs.

This marks the first time the airport has seen its daily passenger throughput break 10,000 since its opening in 1997.

In recent years, air transport has become increasingly important as a bridge connecting Zhoushan's marine economy with its tourism industry, becoming a crucial factor in enhancing the investment environment for tourism.

As the core piece of infrastructure for air transportation in the city, Zhoushan Putuoshan International Airport is currently experiencing unprecedented development opportunities.

In 2023, the airport's annual passenger throughput exceeded 2 million for the first time. The official opening up of the airport and the launch of the Xiangyun VIP lounge have further enhanced its social recognition and influence.

These developments have increased its transport capacity, transforming it from a regional tourism airport into a modern international airport of considerable scale.

Zhoushan Putuoshan International Airport currently operates 23 routes, connecting to 28 domestic cities.
