Since it began operating on Aug 28, the Banshengdong Passenger Terminal, located in Putuo district, Zhoushan, has been welcoming visitors with a new look and upgraded services, offering five routes for the upcoming National Day holiday.
"The terminal offers routes to Mount Putuo and Liuheng Island, and has recently resumed services to Dongji Island, Shengshan Island, and Hulu Island, totaling five routes," said Zheng Ying, deputy manager of the Banshengdong Passenger Terminal.
The ferry to Mount Putuo leaves every 30 minutes. To accommodate the increased passenger flow during the National Day holiday, the frequency will be adjusted to every 20 minutes.
The Banshengdong Passenger Terminal has two stories with five waiting areas spanning approximately 3,000 square meters, equipped with 615 seats. The first-floor passenger hall has already opened for use, featuring five waiting areas and 20 ticket gates.
The terminal offers comprehensive services including travel inquiries, ticket reservations, lost and found, travel arrangements, and other convenience services. Additionally, amenities such as luggage lockers, shared wheelchairs, and strollers are available for those who need them.
There are shopping areas and seafood night markets conveniently located near the terminal, while the nearly 1,600 parking spaces effectively ease parking difficulties during peak tourist seasons.
