China's National Meteorological Center has issued a blue typhoon warning on Sept 18, forecasting that Typhoon Pulasan, the 14th typhoon of the year, will make landfall along Zhejiang's coastal areas between the afternoon and evening of Sept 19.

As of 8 am, Typhoon Pulasan (tropical storm level) was located approximately 1,260 kilometers southeast of Zhoushan, with maximum winds near its center reaching Level 9. It is moving northwest at a speed of about 45 kilometers per hour, gradually intensifying into a strong tropical storm.

Current forecasts indicate that Pulasan will follow a path similar to that of Typhoon Bebinca, the 13th typhoon of the year. Although Pulasan is not expected to reach the peak intensity of Bebinca, it will encounter a more complex environment as it approaches the continent, leading to significant uncertainty in its later trajectory.

It is certain that starting from Sept 19, Zhejiang will experience heavy rainfall and strong wind due to the effect of Pulasan, according to Tide News.

According to the China Meteorological Administration, the period between Typhoon Bebinca and the upcoming Pulasan will be marked by oppressive heat.

China has a four-tier emergency response system, with Level I being the most severe response, and a four-tier color-coded weather warning system, with red representing the most severe, followed by orange, yellow, and blue.
