The China Enterprise Confederation and the China Enterprise Directors Association released the 2024 China Top 500 Enterprises list on Sept 11.

This year, 51 companies in Zhejiang province were included on the list, with six from Jiaxing: Tongkun Holding Group Co Ltd (145th), Jinko Solar Co Ltd (219th), Xinfengming Group Co Ltd (236th), Zhejiang Satellite Holding Co Ltd (287th), Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Co Ltd (363rd) and Zhenshi Holding Group Co Ltd (413rd).

The 2024 list marks a new milestone, with total revenue reaching 110.07 trillion yuan ($15.44 trillion), a 1.58-percent increase from last year. The entry threshold rose for the 22nd consecutive year to 47.38 billion yuan, up by 3.83 billion yuan.

Among the top 500, 253 companies had revenues exceeding 100 billion yuan, while 16 had revenues surpassing 1 trillion yuan.

The list reflects an optimized industrial structure, with more companies engaged in advanced manufacturing and modern services. In 2024, 31 companies from sectors like new energy equipment, power and energy storage batteries, communication equipment, and semiconductor manufacturing were included, 18 more than five years ago.

The five provinces with the most companies on the list are Beijing, Shandong, Guangdong, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu.
