French comedy to delight Wuzhen audiences

The Wuzhen Grand Theater in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province will present Les Fourberies de Scapin, a classic French comedy by 17th-century playwright Moliere, from Sept 27 to 28. The play is directed by Denis Podalydes.

Known for its clever plot, humorous dialogue, and deep social insights, the play highlights the wit and cunning of ordinary people challenging authority. This performance promises a visually and emotionally engaging experience.

2024 marks the 60th anniversary of China-France diplomatic relations. As part of the China-France Year of Culture and Tourism, the Festival Croisements has been a key cultural exchange between the two countries for the past 18 years. This year's festival spans over 30 Chinese cities with more than 300 events, showcasing the boundless appeal of art without borders.
