Overseas Chinese youth summer camp begins in Hangzhou
The 2024 "Cultural China, Vibrant Zhejiang" Overseas Chinese Youth Summer Camp opened in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, on July 21.
A total of 148 overseas Chinese youths from over 30 countries and regions will travel to Hangzhou, Jinhua, Wenzhou, and other cities. They will immerse themselves in five millennia of Chinese culture, experience the local customs of Zhejiang, and savor the authentic flavors of Zhejiang cuisine.
Xia Wenwen, a participant from Spain, shared her lifelong curiosity about Chinese history, literature, art, and cuisine. Through reading and learning, she has come to appreciate the profound and unique charm of Chinese culture.

The summer camp is organized by Zhejiang University, Zhejiang Normal University, and Wenzhou University.
During the camp, participants will visit ancient academies, stroll along historic streets, and explore modern enterprises, gaining insight into China's development through exchanges and interactions.
Lin Kefan, the team leader of Wenzhou University, said that overseas Chinese youths are expected to find a sense of home in China and share this warmth and love with their friends and family back home.
