Wenzhou is set to enhance the summer experience with the introduction of a sea-viewing train.
This scenic train will operate within the Xiandieyan Scenic Area in Dongtou district, covering a distance of approximately 2.4 kilometers. Construction is scheduled to begin in October this year, and it is expected to begin operating by August next year. A comprehensive tourism port will also be built, serving as the train's start and end point.
The comprehensive tourism port will feature a visitor service center, an aerial viewing platform, commercial shops, and nearly 1,000 parking spaces, creating a hub for entertainment, family activities, travel, and leisure.
It will offer visitors new spots from which to admire the East China Sea.
The train will run in a loop, starting from the port and stopping at four stations. The monorail system will have adjustable windows and consist of six carriages, each accommodating six passengers, completing a loop in about 20 minutes.
Passengers can enjoy the sea, listen to the waves, and immerse themselves in the fishing village's unique charm. The journey also includes a tunnel with holographic projections, enhancing the seaside experience.
The Evening Clouds station along the train line is closest to the famous Dasha'ao Bay Beach, which is being developed to include wooden hotels, infinity pools, and viewing bridges, offering 48 rooms with stunning sea views.
