Shengzhou, a county-level city in Shaoxing, witnessed the coming together of eight couples in a collective celebration on March 23.
The milestone event marked the inauguration of the Shengzhou-Xinchang Youth Networking Event, offering a high-quality social platform for young singles from both Shengzhou city and Xinchang county.
Beyond its role in facilitating social interactions, the event advocated wedding customs reform.
"Saving money, reducing stress, and reveling in the festivity," said Yan Maowei and Gao Yuxin, newlyweds from Shengzhou, reflecting on the significance of the collective wedding ceremony.
Further activities, including cultural performances, are slated as part of the event to foster connections among other young men and women from Shengzhou and Xinchang.
