Shaoxing's Keqiao district witnessed a spectacular showdown during the 2023-2024 Global Supermodel Professional League Asia Finals on Jan 29.
A total of 60 contestants gathered in Keqiao, transforming the national textile hub into a haven for fashion enthusiasts.
The event showcased four segments − a haute couture spectacle, an exhibition of athletic glam, a swimwear extravaganza, and an evening gown presentation. Judges evaluated contestants, taking into account every detail, from appearance and physique to cultural finesse and stage performance.
The Global Supermodel Professional League stands as an important annual event in the fashion and cultural calendar, exuding substantial industry influence and brand allure.
Zhang Ziyang, executive chairman of the Global Supermodel Professional League in China, explained the choice of Keqiao as the host for the Asia Finals, saying, "Keqiao's textile industry has flourished, emitting a pulsating fashion vibe."
Currently, Keqiao's textile sales network spans 206 countries and regions, facilitating the annual trade of a quarter of the world's fabric.
By 2025, the district is anticipated to reach 200 billion yuan ($28.9 billion) in imports and exports, reflecting its robust position in the global market.
