Prior to the opening ceremony of the second session of the 13th Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) on Jan 22, some members were interviewed.

Lin Dong, a Zhejiang Provincial CPPCC member, discussed his dedicated efforts over the past two decades to make China's independently developed tidal energy generators world-class.

He highlighted the achievement of the world's first marine tidal energy power station, located underwater near Xiushan Island in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province.

This station, developed by Lin's company, has been continuously generating power and connected to the grid for over six years, accumulating more than 5.63 million kilowatt-hours.

"Technological innovation is an ongoing marathon, testing both speed and endurance," said Lin, expressing his commitment to continuous hard work for further advancements.
